About April Zoe

My Story

April Zoe’s love of reading began at a young age. Her favorite book growing up, A Ring of Endless Light by Madeleine L’Engle, inspired her to memorize Psalm 121 and grow in her love of the written word. She believes that books read during those formative years leave a mark on the reader that lasts forever.

As an adult, April has lived the life of a military spouse. She knows what it is like to be the lone person of faith in an often-hostile environment. After years of leading Bible studies and small groups, she has a heart to bring encouragement and God’s hope to those who are living in the trenches. Through storytelling and blogging, her words inspire others to have courage and faith.

April blogged for military spouses for ten years. She has an MFA in Creative Writing from Liberty University. Along with leading her local chapter of a regional writers’ group, she founded an online magazine for the group to share their writing with the world. April recently won Sonshine Awards from the Florida Christian Writers Conference for Middle Grade Fiction, Women’s Fiction, and Poetry. You can find her online or running the trails of Colorado with her Labrador retriever, Daisy.
